PLAN OF ACTION

When I regrouped and returned to my senses I chartered a plan of action, and would stay here in Greensburg  Bankruptcy had pretty much destroyed my life and reputation.  It had left me with only my house, thanks to my great lawyer, and had also left with me without my wife.  What was strange, is that as the same time Sylvia, my wife,  disappeared so did Harold.   Harold was the business accountant and comptroller.  He was arrested for embezzlement.  But he was let out on bail and skipped town.  I think he is in Mexico, but I can't be certain.  Sylvia took the news initially very calmly, but as the days went on and she realized what we were going to lose personally, she grew more and more angry.  How could I let this happen, she asked.  Why didn't I do an outside audit?  A good question.  We had never done one before.  We weren't a public company.  She reminded me that she didn't like Harold right from the start, that he was from her old home town, and that he couldn't be trusted.  I should have listened.  Sylvia's attitude towards Harold never changed in all those years, and I thought she still disliked him; then a friend from the library contacted me.
